karunkaadu Project

Miyawaki Kurunkaadu project in Pattukkottai Polytechnic College (Near Palayam) was jointly organised by Kottai Rotary club of polytechnic and Rotaract Club of Pattukkottai Polytechnic college, Pattukkotai on 30.03.2021. This project was inaugurated by the chief guest Rtr. R.Balaji Babu, District Governor Rid 2981 in the presence of our Honourable College correspondent Mr.SDS Selvam, Principal Mr.P Srinivasan, Kottai Rotary Club Past President A.Thomas Arockiyaraj, Secretary Mr. C.Baskar, Treasurer Mr.Arumugam. C, District Governor Rtn Ar. Anbu along with other rotary and rotaract members. More than Saplings of thousand trees, of thirty-five varieties were planted in the 15000 square feet area, in which Timber, Guava, Neem, Mango and Herbal and medicinal saplings were planted.

People living in this area will be able to consume fresh oxygen and pure air by this scheme. The land surrounding this region will be fertile due to dense plantations. After the destruction of the trees due to the gaja cyclone on November 16, 2018. This type of the project helps pattukkottai to recover quickly in a short interval of time in both economical and climatic conditions. Since rapid growth of tree is 10 times faster than normal plantation method the urban area will become greener in short duration period.
